About Varillero Coche: the craft, the workshop and how we work
Varillero Coche is the workshop of David, a PDR technician since 2014. He opened it in 2024 in an industrial estate in Alcobendas, next to the A-1, after years repairing cars for other body shops and at hail centres across Europe.
Who is David and how did he learn the trade?
David started in 2011 at a body and paint shop, trained as a PDR technician in 2014 and spent seven seasons on European hail campaigns before opening his own workshop.
At the Fuencarral shop he learned to prep, fill and paint panels, and he also saw the limit of that work: a resprayed door rarely matches the ones next to it. When he discovered paintless dent repair he decided to make it his trade.
The hail campaigns were his real training: centres set up by insurers after a storm, hundreds of cars and long days. That is where you learn to read metal quickly and leave nothing half-done.

What is the Varillero Coche workshop in Alcobendas like?
It is a unit in the Alcobendas industrial estate, at C. Valgrande, 10, set up with controlled lighting for reading metal and space for several cars at once.
Light is everything: we work with striped LED lamps and no direct sun, to see every last millimetre. There is a waiting area for anyone who prefers to stay while we fix a parking dent. For hail and large dents, the car can stay under cover for several days. If you cannot come, we come to you with our mobile dent repair service.
What does Varillero Coche commit to with every customer?
A fixed quote before starting, saying no when a dent cannot be repaired without paint, and checking the result with you under the lamp.

Take 2 or 3 photos in daylight: one from a distance showing the whole panel and one at an angle where you can see the reflection bend. That is enough for us to tell you whether it can be repaired without paint, how long it takes and what it costs.
